Definition

This field contains the rounded, average quotation price, which has been converted to the leading combination of currency, pricing unit, and unit of measure for the corresponding formula item. Depending on the selected calculation type for the formula item, the leading combination is based on the surcharge or on the formula.

This field is only used and filled for rate-based Formula and Average evaluation (new since release 4.6B).

If the combination of the quotation itself is 'leading', no conversion is performed. Then this field just contains the rounded average quotation price.

Example

If you average over the 3 quotation prices:

320.00 USD / (1 TO)

400.00 USD / (1 TO)

280.00 USD / (1 TO)

The sum of the 3 quotation prices is:

320.00 + 400.00 + 280.00 = 1000.00
[all values in USD / (1 TO)]

Therefore the average quotation price is 1000.00 divided by 3, which is 333.333... .

If the business requires that the average quotation price is rounded to 4 decimal places, you would expect a rounded average quotation price of 333.3333 USD / (1 TO). In the system this is 333.33330000000000' USD / (1 TO).

In the next calculation step the rounded average quotation price should be converted to the local currency, ITL, with the USD -> ITL currency exchange rate, which is 1 USD = 2000 ITL in this example:

rounded average quot. price: 333.33330000000000' USD / (1 TO)

curreny exchange rate: 1 USD = 2000 ITL

converted and rounded average quotation price: 666,666.60000000000000 ITL / (1 TO)

This field contains the value '666,666.60000000000000', which represents an accurate, intermediate calculation result with a fixed number of 14 decimals.
