Definition

You can restrict the Appointments view to particular organizational units (OUs). This makes sense when Patient Administration comprises a number of areas, each of which is responsible for specific departments or care units.

Under Restricted to Org. Units, you can specify all the organizational units whose appointments the system is to display. All organizational units are interpreted with the hierarchy and inter-departmental assignment.

Example:

• By entering a department, for example, you restrict the display of appointments to the care units to whose beds this department can assign patients.
• If you don't make an entry under Restrict to Org. Units, the Appointments view contains all the appointments for the institution which are planned in the specified time frame.
