Documentation
Definition
Number range for number assignment for documents in contract accounts receivable and payable. It is used in mass runs.
Use
For mass processing, additional number ranges are allocated to each relevant document type. This ensures that mass runs are not disturbed by other processes running at the same time. A number range is reserved for each process for the duration of processing.
Procedure
Allocate the document types enough number ranges so each process can use a separate number range.
Examples
If you usually assign 5 parallel processes to a payment run, assign 5 number ranges to the each document type used.
Dependencies
You can assign the same number ranges to different document types.
