Definition
As of SAP Enterprise, the customer master has an indicator "Indicator: Index Structure of Subsequent Settlement (Agency Business) Activated".
You can maintain the indicator in the customer master on the sales area level. Entries are constantly made for any documents without sales areas (no control functions).
Note that this indicator is only valid for customer settlements.
For individual settlement requests (customer-based pricing), you must make an explicit entry by setting this indicator that the indicator must be noted in the customer master.
This method was chosen for upward compatability reasons, as you have to maintain the customer master data continuously, and, if necessary, for the new release, SAP Enterprise.
Prior to SAP Enterprise, the indicator "Document Index" for the vendor was also used to determine whether entries should be made for customer- based pricing.
If you set this indicator, the "Document Index" indicator for the customer also determines the individual settlement requests using entries made for the customer-based pricing. The indicator for the vendor still relates to the vendor-based pricing.
