Documentation
Definition
You can use this indicator to ensure that no check takes place on the use of the documents in updating the business volume in subsequent settlement when customer settlement documents are being archived.
Use
If you set this indicator, the checks that are normally carried out when the above documents are being archived are omitted.
Performance is usually improved by this.
On the other hand, there is a risk for the functions
- Drill-Down
- Restructuring Business Volume Data
that documents are archived too early, which means they are no longer available.
You can definitely switch off the check, if you are not working with customer settlement documents for business volume data. Otherwise, you must ensure that the documents are not archived too early (for example, sufficient retention period).
Warning:
- Archived documents can no longer be restored.
- SAP recommends you leave the documents in the system until all agreements have been completely settled.
