Definition
The effective business event duration in hours is the sum of all the hours of the business event for every day of the business event. It is calculated automatically from the time schedule selected by adding up the length of the day blocks from every day of either the selected day schedule or the user-defined schedule, whichever applies.
For business events with weekly or monthly repetition, the value calculated in this way is then multiplied by the number of times the business event is held.
Procedure
No input is required because the system automatically calculates the business event duration in hours.
Supplementary Documentation - NHOURS 1000
Use
The entry of busines event duration must be complete (that is, the duration must be specified both in days and in hours). The entries are regarded in each case as an actual duration (for example, actual business event duration in days = total time - days off).
The system checks that the duration in hours fits the duration in days (duration in days * 24 less than or equal to duration in hours), otherwise a corresponding error message is issued.
As soon as a schedule is stored in the work area, the field is set according to this schedule. The fields for business event duration are then no longer ready for input. Entries are only possible if the schedule is reset via PF14.
