Use
If you set this indicator, any secondary indices of all information structure(s) to be set up that may exist are deleted before the setup of statistical data and are created again after the setup.
This procedure improves performance levels for the statistical setup.
Note
Performance is only improved if the data volume to be processed is at least 10 - 15% of the total dataset of the information structure(s) in question.
If, for instance, the information structure contains 100,000 data records and 30,000 new records are added by means of the statistical setup, it makes sense to use this option.
On the other hand, there is no point in using this option if only 5,000 new records are added by means of the statistical setup, as performance is not significantly influenced.
Additional Information
The 'primary index' is also generated automatically for the key fields of each information structure. In addition, a secondary index is automatically generated for "customer", "vendor", and "material", when these fields are contained in the information structure.
In general, you have the option of creating your own secondary indices for all characteristics and for all selection key figures (CHARACTER-Kennzahlen) to suit your own reporting requirements.
