Definition

Key that uniquely identifies a field in a screen.

Use

You only need to specify values for parameter ID and parameter value if you want to skip the initial screen when you call the transaction. You use these values to determine how the system prefills required entry fields in the initial screen.

You determine the parameter ID of the desired fields as follows:

1. Choose the initial screen of the desired transaction and call the F1 help for the field for which you want to define a default value.
2. In the F1 help screen choose Technical Information.

   In the Technical Information screen you can see the Parameter ID under Field Data.

3. Copy the parameter ID.

Example

Transaction MD02 Single-Item, Multi-Level: The field Plant has the parameter ID WRK.
