Documentation
Definition
In this field, the system outputs the short texts of all the department statuses that are still "open".
Use
If the field is empty, either no department statuses exist for the case, or all of its department statuses are "complete". The list box indicates whether all the department statuses are still "open" or already "complete". By choosing a value, you change this department status.
Dependencies
In the IMG activity Define Dependencies Between Case Status and Department Status, you can specify that when the last "open" department status is set to "complete", the system is to change the case status also.
If all the department statuses are already "complete" and you reset a status to "open", the system will also reset the case status, depending on your Customizing settings.
Example
You admitted a case to the "Surgery" department, transferred it to the "Eye" department and then discharged it from this department. If you have assigned department statuses to these departments in the IMG activity Define Dependencies Between Case Status and Department Status, the system creates department(-related) statuses for the case ("Dept Surgery" and "Dept Eyes").
When you now access, for example, the diagnosis overview (transaction NP61), the system outputs "Dept Surgery, Dept Eyes" in the Open Department Statuses field. The list box contains the values "Complete Dept Surgery" and "Complete Dept Eyes". When you select an entry, the system sets this department status to "complete". If you choose, for example, "Complete Dept Surgery", the Open Department Statuses field now only contains the value "Dept Eyes". The list box now contains the values "Open Dept Surgery" and "Complete Dept Eyes".
By choosing the "Open Dept Surgery" value, you reset the "Dept Surgery" status to "open". If you choose the "Complete Dept Eyes" status, the system sets it to "complete".
When all of the department statuses are "complete", the Open Department Statuses field is empty. The list box contains the two statuses with the additional information "open". Depending on your Customizing settings, the system now changes the case status from "In Process" to "To Be Checked", for example.
