Here, you only have to specify the size of a file if the data is not transmitted by means of ftp, but if data carriers are used.
This specification can cause changes in the creation of files.
Instead of transferring data to a single large file that would exceed the storage space available on a data carrier (a diskette, for example), the system creates several small files for this data and thus ensures that these smaller files can be stored on separate data carriers.
