Documentation
Definition
You can assign several requests to one document. The requests are assigned to the entire document, this means all document parts and versions and, from a technical point of view, the document type + document number key.
The document code consists of the document type, the document number, the document part number and the document version.
You can assign several document parts to one document number. Strictly speaking, there are only document parts as no "main document" exists; the system will assign the first document you create, document part number 0. The system will then assign all following document parts in sequence (increments of 1).
There can be several versions of one part document. You can only create a version if the document part is released, which means that the document has a status with a release indicator. When customizing the document type, you can determine how the system should assign version numbers (#VersNumIncrements#).
