Definition
The external data module can supply documentation elements to a simple structure with external data.
As is the case with the availability of an unstructured documentation element, the availability of the simple structure requires the implementation of a ToText module for the data transfer and, if need be, a FromText module for the data transfer with a Change module or with an F4 help module.
The transfer of external data for the individual documentation elements of the structure takes place one-by-one, where the documentation element to be transferred is identified by its name. For this reason, specific name conventions must be adhered to when defining multiple structures that are to be supplied via external data modules. One possibility for the later creation of this link exists from IS-H*MED Rel. 401 on in the assignment External data alias.
