Definition

A sequence is used to rank the document categories with regard to their use within an organizational unit. By allocating priorities, or sequence numbers, every organizational unit can set up prioritized selection of document categories from the processing of services or cases based on their requirements.

Sequence number '01' is for document categories that are most frequently used, while priority '99' is for document categories that are used least.

If no priority is to be set, then '00' or '' must be set for the sequence number (basic setting).

In the case of document profiles you use the sequence number to control the sorting within a documentation area (branch in a tree).
