Documentation
Definition
The external data module supplies the documentation elements of a multiple structure as well as the columns of a table with external data.
The supply of a multiple structure requires the implementation of a ToTab module for the data transfer. This may also further require the implementation of a FromTab module for the data transfer of a Change module or an F4 help module.
The transfer of external data for the individual documentation elements of the structure takes place by way of a Structure redefined interface table in which the documentation elements to be transferred must be contained as fields in the structure. For this reason, specific name conventions must be adhered to when defining multiple structures that are to be supplied via external data modules. One possibility for the later creation of this link exists from IS-H*MED Rel. 401 on in the assignment External data alias.
