Definition
The external data source is a fixed entity, that is, not a parameterized document or a parameterized entity. Fixed entities include transparent table outdside parameterizable documentation (e.g. patient master, case, services, diagnoses), context data for document management (document master record), system data, etc.
External data modules for transferring data from parameterized documents are normally generated from pre-existing function modules from the function group N2F4 and from the generated function modules of the source document. External data modules for transferring data from fixed entities are either supplied as a component of the product i.s.h.med or must be developed according to the requirements of the user.
The option 'fixed entity' causes the generation of various interface parameters in the dialog application for calling the ToText and ToTab modules.
