Definition

If a path name is entered for a document category, then all documents of this category will be stored only in this path. Data is not saved to the database, nor is data backed up.

This type of save can only be made in file systems that support long file names.

It is possible to select a pathway which is only available to the application server. This procedure is supported when you add the prefix "R3:" to the pathwayy (e.g. "R3:/usr/sap/dta/"), whereby the pathway separators must correspond to those used by the application server.

You must also ensure that the entered pathway also exists, as no check can be made in this field.
