Definition

This indicator determines whether a field is an output field, an input field, or a input/output field.

  • Output field: The field is not modifiable in the dialog, however, it can be modified using a user exit or an external data module.
  • Input/output field: The field is modifiable in the dialog and the content is displayed.
  • (Pure) output field: The field is modifiable in the dialog, however, the content is not displayed (e.g. a password).

Note

The system does not currently differentiate between a pure input field and an input/output field.
