Definition

The parameter is only relevant if an Input field is created for entering text in the screen.

Element is outside a multiple structure

Dependent on the parameter Height, for the

  • width equal to 0, a 72-character input field or a table control with a width of 75 will be created, and for the
  • width greater than 0, an input field or a table control will be created with the width specified.

Element is within a multiple structure

The visual column width of the input field:

  • width equal to 0: standard width of text fields (= 72)
  • width greater than 0: entered width

Remarks

72 characters can always be entered per line, meaning that the input field can be scrolled if necessary.
