Key for an application that you can start from within the document management function .
Use
You can start two different applications from one document info record. You can work on a technical drawing with a CAD system and on the related documentation with a WP program.
Dependencies
The following requirements need to be met so you can start an application:
- You must use customizing (Document Management -> Work Station Application) to define the application and set the start authorization.
- You must use customizing (Document Management -> Application) to input the path and the program name for the application.
- If this data is located on another computer, the program will require the details of the data carrier in the Data Carrier field.
The system can use the customizing settings (Document Management -> Mount Points) to determine the path for the data transfer for the special computer combination. - In the Original field (Extras -> Original), you must clearly define which data the specified application will process.
- The user will need the authorization to start the application for the document type.
