Definition

The type lets you differentiate between comparison-oriented values and approximate values.

Example:

  • Earlier than
  • Same
  • Later than

are comparison-oriented values. They are always used in conjunction with a date (see surgery registration).

Approximate values are:

  • Start
  • Middle
  • End

Approximate entries are always used for time interval specifications (e.g. for a calender month in a preregistration, start 5/98).
