Definition
Display the surgery area for planning.
The surgery area is the organizational unit (OU), in which the planned appointment will take place. The surgery area defines the room in which an appointment takes place.
It is possible, but not mandatory, that the surgery area is the operating OU. If surgeries are performed in an inter-disciplinarily used surgery area (surgery center, central OR), the surgery area describes the OU where the appointment will take place and the operating OU is the service facility which will perform the surgery.
