Definition
Diagnosis responsible for occasioning the preregistration of the patient for admission, surgery, or treatment.
When you admit the patient, the system proposes this diagnosis as the referral diagnosis.
You can enter coded diagnoses via an additional dialog in the preregistration dialog. Note that the system does not transfer the diagnoses coded here into the diagnosis overview until you actually admit the patient (a case reference has to exist). It also transfers the catalog text relative to the diagnosis code into the Free-Text Diagnosis field (characterized by "C:").
