Definition
With the Appointment Assignment Indicator you can control
- whether the organizational unit, where the patient is preregistered reserves the right to assign appointments for preregistrations
- or whether other organizational units may also schedule appointments (e.g. the entering OU or a Call Center).
In addition to the appointment assignment indicator availability level, there is also an appointment assignment indicator at the level of the OU for which patients can be preregistered. If this OU generally wishes to assign every appointment itself, you simply select the appointment assignment indicator at the level of this OU. The appointment assignment indicator at availability level is then ineffective.
With the appointment assignment indicator at availability level, you can determine - independently of the preregistration type and the entering organizational unit, whether only the organizational unit
- where the patient is preregistered can schedule appointments for the preregistration,
- or whether other OUs may also schedule the appointment.
