Definition

If you create a preregistration from an initiating organizational unit, ISHMED will produce a selection list of all preregistration types available to the initiating organizational unit.

From this list you can select the following in one step:

  • The preregistration type
  • The treatment organizational unit or department for which the patient will be preregistered
  • The services for which the patient will be preregistered in the treatment organizational unit.

A preregistration type can offer several treatment organizational units and departments where you can preregister the patient for surgery, treatment or admission.

You can use the OrgUnit appears in Pregistration Type Selection List indicator to specify that the organizational unit, for which you set the indicator in preregistration types, should appear in the preregistration type selection list.

If you do not set the OrgUnit appears in Pregistration Type Selection List indicator, the system will only include the treatment OU or department in the corresponding input help in the Preregistration input screen.
