Definition

The treatment organizational unit is:

  • For a scheduled admission: The department where you want to preregister the patient for admission.
  • For a scheduled surgery or treatment: The service facility where you want preregister the patient for surgery or treatment.

The preregistration type specifies attributes of the preregistration:

Example

  • The treatment OU is the Surgery department. The preregistration type Surgery Admissions enables the preregistration of patients for inpatient admissions.
  • The treament OU is the CT service facility. The preregistration type CT Examinations specifies for which examinations patients can be preregistered in the CT facility. Each examination is a service that is offered by the CT service facility.
