Definition

Indicator that controls the setting of change pointers if the configuration data for a material variant is changed.

  • If the indicator is set, the corresponding change pointers are created in dialog if the configuration data for a material variant is changed. These change pointers allow the configuration data in a material master IDOC to be sent.

    Note

If the cross-plant material status is changed, and this causes a distribution lock to be reversed, the system sends the material in its entirety. In this situation, the system also sends all configuration data, even if the status is not changed in dialog (activation of planned changes, posting of an IDoc,..).

  • If the indicator is not set, the system does not create any change pointers.

Use

Set this indicator to ensure that the configuration data in material variants is also sent. To do so, it is also necessary to activate change pointer creation for the MATMAS message type or message types that are reduced accordingly.
