Description
This key figure gives an overview of material/plant combinations where the majority of special stock records have stock not equal to 0.
In the other columns, material-dependent characteristics are displayed.
Use of the key figure for analysis purposes
Table MSSA is read during the availability check.
The no. of records with stock helps you to estimate the relevance of the sales order stock in the system examined. The more records exist for a material, the greater the burden on the system during the availability check. If there are a large number of records, these also contain in principle a high optimization potential.
Structure and use of detail display
During the analysis only records with stock not equal to 0 are taken into consideration. All records for one material/plant combination are cumulated. The combinations with the most records are displayed. The total number of records, as well as the percentage of these records compared with the total of all records with stock for all materials and plants is entered.
The following columns contain
the low-level code,
information on whether the bulk goods indicator is set in the material master or not,
the checking group,
information on whether the availability check for the checking group is deactivated.
Notes for optimization
The aim of the availability check performance optimization is basically to reduce the scope of data to be checked. In the case of sales order stocks there are two ways of doing this:
a)Deactivating the check for a material
b)Deactivating or reducing the management of material as sales order stock and ongoing and exclusive management as anonymous warehouse stock.
To implement these two approaches there is help in the hitlist. For materials with the most records there is the biggest optimization potential, when an availibilty check is carried out for these materials. This is not the case when bulk goods are involved in all plants or the check has been deactivated in all plants by the chekking group.
Further steps should be discussed in detail with the department responsible.
Amonst other things you should check that the treatment of materials with higher low-level codes as special stock is really required and whether unplanned individual requirements can be given higher low-level codes. This is controlled using the dependency indicator in the material master for components or in the parts list.
