Description
The key figure provides an overview of the age structure of the special stock records that contain no stock. Different keys are used for data from different plants. The age is related to the creation date of the record and not the last date it was changed.
The overview tree displays 1- 374 minimum/maximum. The second figure (here 374) specifies how old the oldest record is in days. If the record is older than a maximum of 700000, the creation date is blank.
Using the key figure for analysis
You can use this display to estimate when the records were last cleaned up (deletion run with transaction MM73, MM74). You can also use it as a guideline for how often a deletion run should take place.
Structure and use of the detailed display
The detailed display shows you how often records without stock appear within a certain time interval.
The system uses the difference between the time of the analysis (SY-DATE) and the creation date of the stock record (ERSDA field) to decide where to allocate the record within the time interval.
In Release 2.2x the ERSDA field didn't exist so this value remains blank. Records with blank creation dates were created before the system was upgraded to Release 3.0 or 3.1. They cannot be specified more exactly and are displayed in a separate column.
Example
Plant Total <= 1 week <= 2 weeks ... blank date
200 10 30 ... 80
0001 150 9 20 ... 60
0002 50 1 10 ... 20
Interpretation:
There are 200 records without stock in total, 150 of which are in plant 0001 and 50 in plant 0002.
Plant 0001 has 5 records without stock that are all less than a week old, 9 records that are between one and two weeks old, ...
60 records in plant 0001 were created before Release 2.2.
How to improve performance
We recommend that you keep the number of records without stock as low as possible so that the availability check is as quick as possible.
The analysis should indicate how often you should plan a deletion run.
