Use

For a number of situations in shipment processing, you can reset the controls for the message type within defined limits. As a rule, the following aspects can be influenced:

  1. Whether a message is to appear in the collective processing log or a dialog log
  2. Whether a message is to be issued at all
  3. How the system reacts to a situation; as a rule, further processing is not possible with message type E. Items are not created or changed.

For controlling the message type in selected situations during shipment processing, the following applies:

Message type ' ':

  • No message

Message type I:

  • Can be included in the collective processing log if this is provided for in Customizing of shipping point.
  • Appears in dialog mode as an information message.

Message type W:

  • Does not appear in the log.
  • Appears in dialog mode as a warning.

Message type E:

  • Appears in the log and the system reacts restrictively.
  • Appears in dialog mode as an error.
