Definition

The cumulated ATP quantity in this field is the total quantity (over the time axis) of stocks and receipts including the quantity that has already been committed for the requirement to be processed. The cumulated quantity indicates how much of the requirement currently being processed can be confirmed.

The calculation of the ATP quantity is carried out as follows:

Only the receipt elements that lie before the requirement are taken into account. The system first reduces the receipt that lies closest to the requirement backward on the time axis (and in so doing the ATP quantity of this receipt is also reduced). If any of this receipt is left over, it can be used to cover another requirement. The rest quantity is recorded as an open ATP quantity. If one receipt alone does not cover a requirement, further receipts are reduced (along with their ATP quantities) until the requirement has been completely covered. It is only possible to commit a quantity smaller or equal to the ATP quantity that is available at the time of the requirement.

If no more ATP quantities are available to cover a requirement, it cannot be confirmed.
