Definition

Income for condition record according to scale and condition basis.

Example

Assume the arrangement is valid from 01.01. to 12.31. of the year.

  • If the arrangement is subject to once-only settlement, you can, for example, agree a condition stipulating a rebate of 3% on a business volume of $100,000. This yields an income of $3,000.

  • If settlement with regard to the arrangement is effected periodically (say, quarterly), you can, for example, agree on a condition stipulating a rebate of 3% on the business volume achieved over a quarter-year period.

  • 1st. quarter busn. volume $20,000, $600 income from period condition record
  • 2nd. quarter busn. volume $30,000, $900 income from period condition record
  • 3rd. quarter busn. volume $20,000, $600 income from period condition record
  • 4th. quarter busn. volume $30,000, $900 income from period condition record

Assume that a condition has been agreed stipulating a 5% rebate on an annual business volume in excess of $75,000 payable at the time of final settlement. This yields an income from final settlement amounting to $5,000. (The $3,000 already paid in interim settlements must, of course, be offset against this figure).
