Documentation
Definition
Controls which characteristics the system copies when it creates returns with reference to billing documents.
Use
If the indicator is set, the system copies the characteristics in the batch that was posted with the delivery (classification, class type 023).
If the indicator is not set, the system copies the characteristics in the sales order (configuration, class type 300). You can change the proposed characteristic values in the fast entry of characteristics in the returns. If necessary, you can also create a new batch there.
Dependencies
To enable the system to copy the characteristic values, you must make the following settings for the movement type for goods receipt returns (GR returns) in Customizing for Inventory Management and Physical Inventory under Movement Types -> Copy, Change Movement Types:
- In the Classif.batches field, choose setting '1' - Classification carried out in background (all batches).
- In the Copy Char. field, choose setting '2' Copy only configuration characteristics or '3' Characteristics frm configuration (prio) and classification.
