Definition

Defines how the system evaluates the shelf life in days.

• Category 1: Shelf life expiration date
  Shelf life expiration date may be a maximum of nn days after the goods
  receipt date.
  Calculation:
  Exp. date (current) - goods receipt date = current remaining shelf life
  Example:
  31.12.1994 - 01.12.1994 = 30 days
  MARA-MHGES = 50 days --> goods receipt not permitted
  Category 2: Date of production
  Date of production may be a maximum of nn days before the goods
  receipt date.
  Calculation:
  Date of prod. + MARA-MHPRD - GR date = current remaining shelf life
  Example:
  01.11.1994 + 50 days - 01.12.1994 = 20 days
  MARA-MHGES = 30 days --> goods receipt not permitted.

It is not permissible to combine categories 1 and 2 for a material.
