Definition

Used to differentiate power meters:

  • Direct measurement
    • No transformer connected to the register
  • Semi-indirect measurement
    • A low-voltage current transformer is connected to the register
  • Indirect measurement
    • Current transformers and voltage transformers are connected to the register
  • Indirect/semi-indirect measurement
    • There are two options depending on the voltage level in which the device carries out measurements:

Either a low-voltage current transformer is connected to the register or current transformers and voltage transformers are connected to the register

A validation is possible during installation of a meter because transformers are differentiated in this same way.

If current and voltage transformers are connected to the register, they must belong to a device group.
