Definition

This indicator specifies whether the workload data should be updated synchronously (parallel to the orginal document such as a delivery).

Example

The delivery documents are used within picking waves to update the workload data. For this update, there are three control options:

  1. No update
In this case, no data is updated for the picking waves.
  2. Synchronous update
The workload data for the picking waves are updated at the same time as the delivery document.
  3. Asynchronous update
The workload data for the picking waves is updated with a separate update process after the delivery document is updated.

Note

This notice is only relevant for the rough workload forecast.

Please note that when you use SAP standard tables, the update control for various warehouse processes is sometimes identical, since the same tables are often used.

This affects the update control for the following warehouse processes or overviews:

  • Overview = Goods receipt/Storage = Customer or store returns
  • Picking/Goods issue = Vendor returns

This means that if you change the setting for a warehouse process or overview, the settings of other processes that use the same standard table are also changed.

This occurs because the update control is directly linked to the database table.
