Definition

In Inventory Controlling, valuations are carried out on the basis of the local currency amounts in the material document and in the accounting document. The price arises as the quotient from the local curreny amount and quantity. Material valuations based on changes in prices, incoming invoices, production order settlement, the release of standard cost estimate and so on are not updated storage location level in Inventory Controlling, but rather on the material/plant level. The stock value can only be compared with the accounting view in the material master on the material or plant level.
