Definition
In Inventory Controlling, valuation is carried out on the basis of the criteria of the material ledger.
- Before the closing entry, all quantities are valuated using the S price.
- After the closing entry, stock and issues are valuated using the periodic unit price. Receipts are valuated using the inward movement price.
- If no material ledger record exists for a period, the valuation is carried out using the current price.
