Definition
Indicates whether the system updates stock management units that have been counted and posted.
Use
If you set this indicator, the system does not update the stock management units that have been counted and for which inventory differences have been posted.
The value of materials and storage bins that have been counted and for which inventory differences have been posted are not updated; that is, the system extrapolates the inventory differences to the sampling stratum to which they are assigned.
This prevents stratum changers resulting from goods movements after the inventory differences have been posted.
This point is especially important in continuous inventory sampling because high-value goods movements result in a continual change of the values of the stock population in this procedure. In some cases, this can result in subsequent random selections, which are caused by these goods movements alone. In this case, you should set this indicator.
Dependencies
Up until now, the system always carried out an update in such cases. If you want the system to continue doing this, you must not set this indicator.
