Documentation

Definition

Defines the maximum material value below which the stock management units are allocated to the sampling area.

Use

The upper value limit enables valuable stock management units to be allocated to the complete-count area, where each of them has to be counted. This reduces the dispersion of values in the sampling area. The consequence may be that fewer elements of the sampling area must be counted.

The upper value limit is defined when you use the inventory sampling profile to create a sample-based physical inventory, but can still be changed until random selection has run.

Supplementary Documentation - MBS_WERTO 0001

Use

The "Upper value limit (max)" displays the maximum value of all stock management units in the sampling area. If this value is used as the upper value limit, no additional counting due to the upper value limit will be required.

Supplementary Documentation - MBS_WERTO 0002

Use

The field "Upper value limit ... New" is used to simulate the division of the stock population with various upper value limits. The system proposes here either the upper value limit defined on the parameters screen or the maximum upper value limit, whichever of the two values is samaller.

The results in the line "New basic population" are based on the entries in the fields "Upper price limit...New" and "Upper value limit...New".

Use the Copy function to update the parameters by the new upper price and value limits.

Procedure

To simulate the upper value limit, enter the desired value.
