Definition

Defines the maximum number of strata to be created.

Use

When you carry out the "Stratification" transaction, the system calculates the stratification for each number of strata, starting with the lowest number of strata up to and including the upper number of strata. The system lists all calculated stratifications and indicates which is the optimum stratification.

The upper number of strata is defined when you use the inventory sampling profile to create a sample-based physical inventory, but can still be changed until random selection has run.
