Documentation
Definition
Defines the minimum number of elements to be counted in a stratum.
Use
In order to obtain usable extrapolation results, the mean values of possible samples must be normally distributed in each stratum. The greater the minimum sample size, the greater the probability that the mean values are normally distributed. On the other hand, a relatively large number of stock management units have to be counted if the size of the sample is large. In general, it can be assumed that the mean values are normally distributed if the sample size is 30.
If a stratum contains fewer elements than the predefined minimum sample size, all the stock management units of this layer have to be counted.
The minimum sample size is defined when you use the inventory sampling profile to create a sample-based physical inventory, but can still be changed until random selection has run.
