Documentation
Definition
Maximum number of processes that are to run simultaneously and and be started by the program.
Use
Once the maximum number of processes running simultanously has been reached, no further parallel processes can be started. The system then waits for a predefined period. If a parallel process ends during this period, a new parallel process is started for the data that requires processing. If the period ends without resources becoming free, the data that requires processing is processed sequentially.
