Definition

Key that defines the material type of the BOM header.
In BOM maintenance functions, a material type can be allowed or not allowed for the header material in combination with a particular usage.

Use

For material BOMs, you select a material type. Select "*" when you want to create an entry for all material types.

For equipment BOMS and functional location BOMs leave this field blank.

Examples

For example, for the usage "production", you can define that the material type IBAU (maintenance assembly) is not allowed for the header material of a BOM.
