Definition
The leasing interest rate serves to determine the cash value from the leasing payments. If the leasing payments are made within the fiscal year (e.g. monthly, quarterly, etc.), the specified annual interest rate is proportionately included in the calculation. The interest factor for the period is arrived at in the following way:
q = 1 + ( annual interest/number of payments within FY / 100 )
Examples
Annual interest = 10,000 %
Number of payments within FY = 4 ( quarterly payments )
q = 1 + ( 10,000 / 4 / 100 ) = 1,025
