Definition
A translation graph defines the source and target languages for the translation of collections assigned to it.
Use
Each entry in a graph describes the translation route from the original language via the source language to the target language. That is, system objects in a specific original language are translated from the specified source language into the specified target language.
The status of each entry also determines whether this language direction is ignored during a worklist evaluation (Inactive), included in the worklist evaluation without the automatic distribution of proposals (Active), or included in the worklist evaluation with the automatic distribution of proposals (active with Distribution).
Dependencies
The entries in a graph must be complete and consistent. For example, it is not possible to define an identical original and target language, or a source language that is not the same as the original language unless another entry in the graph ensures that texts are in fact translated from this original language into the source language.
Example
Let us assume that a project includes objects in the original languages German and English, and that these objects need to be translated into French. The French translators only translate from German.
At first, the graph would look like this:

However, this graph is inconsistent because the English objects are not translated into German, which makes it impossible for them to be translated into French. In other words, the following missing entry must be added:
