Definition
Arbitrary group number under which several reference documents can be combined together. All items or part of the items of these documents can be processed using 2-step picking.
Use
Several transfer requirements or deliveries are combined as reference documents in the Warehouse Management component under a group number. Documents that belong together receive the same group number and can be selected using these. The processing of reference documents using 2-step picking can be split up into 3 steps:
- Removal
- Allocation
- Direct picking (without the 2-step process)
The group number combines together not only reference documents, but also the transfer orders that are created during the individual steps for 2-step picking.
In the analysis function, the group number also provides status information on all steps of the 2-step picking process.
