Definition
There are 3 settings for this data field that determine to what degree multiple users are allowed to remove materials from storage bins in the warehouse:
- With switch setting " " (blank), when you create a transfer order, the material numbers that are being processed are blocked in the entire warehouse. In addition, all storage bins in the transfer order are temporarily blocked. When you confirm a transfer order, only the storage bins for differences are blocked.
- With switch setting "A" several users can work with the same material at the same time. It is not possible, however, for multiple users to access the same bin simultaneously.
- With switch setting "B" several users can work in the same bin at the same time. The synchronization with regards to bin stock is then carried out based only on "data carrying blocks", for example, a specific material is only blocked within the storage bin in the quantity that is currently being processed.
Parallel stock placements of a material into the same storage bin can only be carried out using strategy "C" and " " when the capacity check is switched off (at the storage type level).
Important: You can only change the switch for blocking logic when no users are processing transfer orders - that is, when no one is creating or confirming transfer orders.
