Documentation
Definition
Key uniquely identifying an.
Activity types describe the activity produced by a cost center and are measured in units of time or quantity.
In activity type planning, control data determines whether the activity price for evaluation of the activity type is manually set or is derived iteratively through activity price calculation.
Supplementary Documentation - LSTAR 0001
Use
In activity type planning, you can plan either an individual activity type or a group of activity types.
You plan activity type groups, when you want quick access to all of the activity types in your cost center within planning.
An advantage you have by planning activity type groups is that the request screen does not need to be filled in for each individual activity type.
Procedure
You can enter eihter a single value, an interval, or a group.
All attributes for the reference activity type are copied when you create the new activity type.

Use Assets accounting
In this field you assign an asset to an activity type. This enables you to differentiate asset costs by activity type within cost accounting.

Use
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
This activity type is transferred from the master record of the specified work center; you can overwrite it with any other activity type valid for the work center (or the cost center assigned to the work center) in the current period.
Supplementary Documentation - LSTAR 0008
Use
You enter non-allocatable activities on cost centers whose activities are not used as a basis for crediting the cost center within internal cost allocation. For cost control on these cost centers you need an actual activity marked as non-allocatable (type 4). Target costs and variances can be calculated for these cost centers from the non-allocatable and planned activity.
Procedure
Examples
In commercial enterprises variable costs are incurred on the sales cost center for each unit sold. Internal cost allocation is not used to relieve the costs from the sales cost center to the business segment. If the OPA (orders) or PCA (profit center accounting) modules are not installed, the costs remain on the cost center.
Supplementary Documentation - LSTAR 0145
Use
With the aid of the activity type in the asset master record, the transfer of planned depreciation and interest to primary cost planning can be carried out activity-dependent.
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
Supplementary Documentation - LSTAR 2370
Use
If you have maintained an activity type for the network in the work center, the system copies this activity type as a default to the activity.
Any other activity type you enter for the activity must be valid for the cost center.
Examples
Dependencies
Supplementary Documentation - LSTAR 2371
Use
To cost networks you can define an activity type in the the standard network.
Supplementary Documentation - LSTAR 4410
Definition
Activity type key to which the activity entered in the default values belongs.
Use
You only need to enter the activity type for costing-relevant phases and secondary resources. The system uses it to determine the prices used for calculating costs in product costing and order settlement.
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
The activity type is proposed by the system based on the specifications from the primary and secondary resource. You can change the default value in the dependency, providing it is not classed as a template in the resource master record.
