Definition
In the data selection, the data records from the database are checked against the general selection conditions. If a record fulfills the general selection conditions, the system checks for each individual 'normal' row block with the type 'set' whether the record is to be included in this row block. If necessary, additional checks take place for the relevant active column blocks.
Unlike these 'normal' row blocks, row blocks can also be defined as 'Row blocks for non-assigned values'. You do so by assigning other 'normal' row blocks to the row block where the non-assigned values are to be used. In the data selection, only those database records that fulfill the general selection criteria, but do not match any of the assigned 'normal' row blocks, are used in a 'Row block for non-assigned values'.
Records that fulfill the general selection conditions and match at least one assigned 'normal' row block, are ignored in a 'Row block for non-assigned values'.
