Definition

This indicator is only relevant for bulk storage areas with Storage Unit Management. In these storage areas, you are only permitted to make posting changes for the full quantity of a batch within a storage bin and the result of the posting change may not violate the mixed batch rule.

There are several reasons for this posting change restriction:

  1. If a stock placement is currently taking place, a posting change cannot be executed because the system cannot access the storage units to be placed into storage. In this case, the stock placements must first be completed.
  2. If a stock removal is currently taking place, a posting change cannot be executed because the system cannot determine the storage units for the posting change. In this case, the stock removals must first be completed.
  3. If the posting change involves a goods receipt or inspection lot number, and not all the storage units belong to the goods receipt or the inspection lot, the posting change cannot take place because the mixed storage rule would be violated. In this case, a stock transfer must first be executed.
  4. If batch mixed storage is allowed in the bulk storage area and two quality inspection batches, for example, are stored in one bin, only one batch can be posted completely to another batch. It is not allowed to post a batch from quality inspection stock into available stock because this would violate the mixed storage rule. In this case, a stock transfer must first be executed.
